  Total Physical Response (TPR) Total Physical Response is a method of teaching language or vocabulary concepts by using physical movement to react to verbal input. The process mimics the way that infants learn their first language, and it reduces student inhibitions and lowers stress. The purpose of  TPR is to create a brain think between speech and action to boost language and vocabulary learning.  How to use.  1. Prepare Select the vocabulary that you are going to teach. Gather any equipment, props or pictures you will need to illustrate the meaning of the words. 2. Teacher Modeling Say the new vocabulary word for the students. What is Grammar Translation Method?  Grammar Translation Method (GTM) is one of the oldest method of teaching. In this method grammar and translation of a language are equally predominate.  The concept of multiple intelligences is a theory proposed by Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner. When you hear the word intelligence, the concept of IQ testing may inmediately come to mind. Intelligence is often defined as our intellectual potential: something we we are born with, something that can be measured, and a capacity that is difficult to change.  In recent years, however, other views of intelligence have emerged, including Garner's suggestion that multiple different types of intelligence may exist.  According to the VARK system, there are four types of learing styles which are visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and reading/writing. Visual learning style. Visual learners are individuals who prefer to take in their information visually be that with maps, graphs, diagrams, charts, and others. However, they don't necessarily respond well to photos or videos, rather needing their information using different visual aids such as patterns and shapes.  Auditory learning style. Auditory learners are individuals who learn better when they take in information in auditory form when it is heard or spoken.
